Both deals on Rogers with a minimum $45/month plan that qualified for RPP and with pre-pay.
TMS: iPhone 16: $22/m on Return & Save ($38.38/m on Financing) + 200'000 PC Optimum Points. The BIB was $393 at the end of the term.
WOW Mobile: iPhone 16 for $17/m on the same $45/m plan with a BIB of $383 at the end of the term. Their spiel was they were offering a $240 BF discount from the retail price of the phone which is $1031.
TMS' deal doesn't really math up, as they seem to basically convert the $240 discount to $200 nominal value of PCO points while charging you an additional $130 when you consider the additional $5/m on the phone and the $10 on the BIB difference.
Not a good deal.
Someone I know got the iPhone 16 at Best Buy for $12/month with $200 gift card. Same $383 BiB amount. (Their website shows $22/month, so YMMV.)

Regular Price at Mobile Klinik is $119 but they gave it to us as a free gift with finance.
There was a clear bundle and a black bundle for us to choose from.
They have the bundles for most Samsung and iPhone models only.

What is the cheapest plan for each of these carriers to qualify for the phone deals? (financing / return)

Probably $25 5GB one I posted above, it is also available at Fido, but it seems like an error to me.
Fido also has 100 GB for $40 and Rogers $45 for 100GB on their sites. Unsure if these are available at Mobile Shop or just online.

Cheapest plan when doing that is showing $34/10gb after auto-pay....
Also iPhone 13 CPO doesn't work with Tab Basic (charges full price), .. I still don't get how they got it on a $29 plan.
On the Koodo plan bandwagon 😉, all aboard!

looks like costco deals on iphone 15 and samsung S24 are about the same as the mobile shop offers there;
unsure if better offers will surface or not? Maybe worth the hassle to do a win it back trip to get some better prices?

I’m in Ottawa. Cheapest deal i was able to find was:
RPP for $45 (60gb) plus iPhone 13 for $5/mo.
Does mobile shop have any plan better than this, knowing the iPhone 13 will cost me $10/mo through MS?

I would not get an iphone 13. I have one now and the 4gb ram is really bogging down everything.

I stopped by Mobile Klinik today and saw the details. It's legit. But it's a "BTL" plan - ie, too low to advertise. So you won't see it on Koodo's website.

Rip, received the iphone 13 from koodo, should've been "great" condition, but the screen is not a genuine apple part, there is some error message and this is apparently common with certified pre-owned phones. https://community.koodomobile.com/purch ... es-7817155
Since canada post is on strike, I also can't return it yet either, note to self, go to mobile klinik instead

Lol thanks for pointing this out. Koodo using non-genuine parts for CPO's is a complete joke and I would think very hard before buying one of these in the future. Wonder if there's a way to determine if all parts are genuine on a specific device, or if certain grades ("Great", "Like New") have never been refurb'd and are just previously used or something...

That was my worry as well. But my sister in law pointed us to mobile Klinik where we got to see before we buy.
Some of them did have non genuine parts but we were able to choose the one we liked.
Purchasing anything pre-owned online is such a hit and miss. We have learned that the hard way.

I am noticing this plan on Rogers site when ordering a Pro Max. Don't know if that is an error but if you don't use a lot of data might be a good option.
Edit: You can also select $45 for 100GB
I wonder if this is certain provinces, I have RPP and the cheapest financing plan I see is 60$ a month.

In case this helps anyone, here's what I got from TMS today:
Traded in a cracked iPhone 11 for the Pixel 9 Pro XL with Rogers. That's 31k points. Trade in bonus is 450k. Already with Rogers so hardware upgrade was another 50k points. TMS bonus for pixel 9 pro is 200k. Total 731k PC points. $30 per month phone finance.
Monthly plan was $60 for 110 GB - $10 auto pay credit - $10 (credit for 7 months).
Effective monthly cost is $55 plus tax for two years for financing.
They'll price match any price drop for the next 15 days.

What was the monthly financing cost? $25-30 a month?
